‘dag-al-shalofa’ or lip tattooing was/is a Nubian and Fulani tradition for women who are “becoming”. For a good reason or not, many Sudanese traditions fade out or get replaced. We’re still here.
Amidst the turmoil, let's break the silence and voice our stories.
